In this video, Dennis Lui, CEO of Tax Academy of Singapore, shares the vision behind Singapore Tax Academy Research Initiative (STARI) and its role in strengthening tax research, professional learning and thought leadership in Singapore and across the region.

STARI aims to develop industry-relevant tax research with a strong Asian focus, helping tax professionals better understand regional complexities, emerging challenges and the practical implications of developments in international taxation.

Research developed through STARI will also support and enhance Tax Academy’s training programmes, bringing deeper insights and current perspectives into professional tax education.

Through STARI, Tax Academy seeks to:

build stronger domestic and regional tax research capabilities;
generate research that is relevant to industry and tax practice;
deepen understanding of tax developments from an Asian perspective; and
bring leading international tax thought leadership to Singapore and the wider region.
