How are withholding taxes evolving in an increasingly complex cross-border tax environment?
For the third consecutive year, the Global IFA Travelling Lectureship Programme returned to Singapore, with Tax Academy of Singapore hosting this year’s session on:

The programme brought together distinguished international and Singapore-based tax experts to examine some of the most important issues surrounding withholding taxes and cross-border taxation.
Speakers included Patricia Brown, Shefali Goradia, Christian Kaeser, Vikna Rajah, Pieter de Ridder, Singyuan Yong, and Vineet Rachh.
Topics explored included:
• Withholding tax challenges in cross-border transactions
• The interaction between withholding taxes and tax treaties
• Treaty relief procedures and practical implementation issues
• Anti-abuse measures and evolving international tax rules
• Emerging developments shaping the future of cross-border taxation
Hosted at Revenue House, the evening also featured an engaging Q&A and networking reception, bringing together members of the international tax community for an exchange of perspectives and experiences.
Tax Academy of Singapore is pleased to continue supporting the Global IFA Travelling Lectureship Programme in Singapore and looks forward to welcoming the programme again next year.
