A new chapter for Singapore’s tax and legal community.

The Tax Academy of Singapore and The Law Society of Singapore have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), deepening a longstanding partnership and reaffirming a shared commitment to tax excellence, professional development and the future of Singapore’s tax profession.

The partnership is rooted in history. The Law Society of Singapore is one of the founding partners of Tax Academy and has been represented on Tax Academy’s Board since its establishment.

Through this MOU, both organisations will work together to:

• Advance tax education and professional excellence
• Strengthen professional development across the tax and legal communities
• Encourage innovation in tax practice
• Develop the next generation of tax professionals
• Support Singapore’s position as a leading international business hub

Tax Academy extends its appreciation to Lisa Sam Hui Min, President of The Law Society of Singapore, and Dinesh Dhillon, President-Elect 2026, for their strong support of the partnership, as well as Eugene Lim and Ong Ken Loon for their work in advancing the MOU.

We also thank members of the Law Society’s Tax & Trust Committee, including Edmund Leow, SC, Vikna Rajah and Eugene Lim, for their continued contribution to Tax Academy’s seminars, webinars and professional programmes over the years.

This MOU builds on two decades of collaboration and creates new opportunities for both organisations to strengthen tax capability, connect the legal and tax professions, and contribute to Singapore’s evolving tax ecosystem.
